Manzanita is very easy to identify when walking through Red Rock Canyon, with its elliptic-shaped leaves and distinctive red bark. My favorite time for manzanita is in the spring when the bushes are filled with clusters of flowers that look like miniature lanterns.Wednesday, June 23, 2010
